Overview
Fieldwork is a local craft brewery in Northern California. I redesigned their website’s online ordering flow to improve the order process to be more efficient and seamless. This project was a part of a design challenge I received after a UX interview.

Pick a brand that does not have a digital transactional experience or the experience is poor from your perspective. Redesign a part of this transactional experience from scratch or improve the experience that has already been developed by the brand.

Discover & Research
After I decided to focus on improving the transactional experience for Fieldwork’s website, I started identifying possible causes that might be preventing users from navigating the order process seamlessly. Next, I started brainstorming my ideas to generate possible solutions to the problems.
Problems
Despite they have many items that are available to purchase, they don’t have any search options/tools on the pickup order page, so visitors have to keep scrolling down to find what they want and to check out.
Using the dropdown menu for only two select options is ineffective and adds one extra step.
Not enough information about each item.
There’s no shopping cart summary before checking out.
Solutions
Change the scroll down options to a single option button to simplify the step.
Place product tabs and image blocks by each product category to organize content, so that visitors don’t need to scroll the entire page in order to find the product info they’re interested in purchasing.
Add short descriptions for each product to provide more information about what they are buying.
Provide a shopping cart summary to display what items users added, so they can see what they are purchasing before moving on to the next step.
